Utilizing only Infrared Heating within a system for processing, infrared only systems can be very efficient in powder coating operations that allow for a small footprint and less opportunity for cross-contamination of powder coatings. Electric Infrared uses electricity to generate medium and long wavelength infrared energy to radiate heat into a part.
The infrared heating process takes less time to dry water and cure powder than traditional convection heating, which reduces the amount of space required for a powder coating system and the amount of time the part is on the finishing line.
The transfer of infrared light energy to the part without the use of heated convection air means that less air movement is happening in the cure oven, reducing the opportunity to blow off powder or contaminate the finish with dust and dirt inside of the oven.
